What you'll do

Immerse yourself in the beautiful Currajong Common a working Angora Goat Farm. Meet our friendly goats, and enjoy lunch with fresh local produce. To begin the tour you will be greeted by our friendly family who owns and runs the farm on a daily basis. We will give you a background into our unique property including about the original mud brick homestead and completely off grid facilities. Next a tour of the shearing shed, an insight into the commercial process behind our Angora Goats and how the mohair is produced. If we are lucky we will get a friendly Angora visitor pop his hooves over the door to see what is happening below. Which leads us to the introduction of a few of our friendly Angora Goats. This is a great opportunity to get a goat cuddle and if you're lucky a kiss on the cheek. Plenty of time for selfies and photos. A very interactive part of the tour as you will get to touch and feel the mohair. Finishing off the afternoon with a roast lunch with our farmers overlooking the farm and Jingera Rock, enjoying delicious local produce and swapping stories about farm life and the day.

I am an Early Childhood Teacher, who has swapped the joy of preschool children to that of Angora Goat Kids. Grant still works in management consulting when he is not engrossed in his passion for farming.
