What you'll do

We will be a group of friends cooking Oaxacan food, listening to music, having some beers, playing mexican games ( like loteria, balero, etc) and having a great time! We will make and eat Tlayudas, an authentic meal from Oaxaca, made with a big corn tortilla , pork fat, beans, cheese, and cabbage. You will be greeted at my home in the heart of one of the most turistic places in Mexico, Coyoacán. I will be there to welcome you, cold beer and traditional mexican refreshments will await as you arrive. Then, we will get to know each other and know a little bit of myself, why Im passionate about food from Oaxaca, what is a tlayuda, and all the ingredients and steps to preparte this delicious meal. Now it´s time to go to the market, wonder around and get some ingredients for our amazing meal. I´ll teach you how to choose the ingredients, and have an incredible experience among colors, smells and sounds of a mexican traditional "mercado". Back home, as we listen to music, we will start making home made salsa for our meal, start getting all the ingredients, and preparing an amazing Oaxacan tlayuda. After we eat, we will play mexican games, talk, listen to music, and have an amazing between friends. My goal is for you to take home a little bit of mexican hospitality with good food and good company.
