What you'll do

The great earthquake happened in1995 and more than 6,400 people died. First we visit ”Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution”. It’s a memorial museum. Here you can learn the summary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and our activities to reduce damages caused by natural disasters in the future. After museum we go to Sannomiya station by bus. It’s the center of Kobe city. From the station we walk to Kobe City Hall, where we have a great view of Kobe city from the 24h floor. You can feel the restoration from the earthquake. We drop by the park where some memorial events are held. And then walk through Former foreign settlement where many old building ware reconstructed or reinforced after the earthquake. Our tour finishes at Meriken Park which is a famous sightseeing place and is also a memorial spot of the earthquake. If you’d like I will tell you some sightseeing places around Kobe.
