What you'll do
Travel back in time to quaint old London and walk in the footsteps of the famous artists and writers who lived, worked and began major art movements here. You’ll see a variety of literary landmarks ranging from the home of Charles Dickens to the home of Virginia Woolf. Other artists covered include Peter Pan creator JM Barrie, Frankenstein creator Mary Shelley, the founder of Post-Impressionism Roger Fry, the Bloomsbury group, the Romantics, George Orwell, Daphne du Maurier and many more. If you’re an art and book lover, this experience is for you. I'll provide a map of the area, so after our walk you can enjoy Bloomsbury's bookshops, cafes and parks.
I'm a writer, tour guide and Londoner. I love to walk through London, and talk about and be inspired by its artistic heroes. Dickens, for example, a child labourer from an impoverished family who went on to write world famous books that inspired the reform of Britain's child labour laws. Heroic stuff!
