What you'll do
1. Simple introduction with overview of our time together. One hr.30 mins morning or one hour 30 mins afternoon. It is possible to stay with me as a guest or come just for meditation. 1. Breathing & Grounding. Checking that you feel comfortable. Feet firmly on floor. Simple sitting exercises. 2. Imagine a flame or concentrate on your inbreath/outbreath. Don't worry if thoughts arise, let them arise. 3. Sitting in silence. 4. Introducing a theme or 'jewel' using art, poetry or prose. 5. Sitting in silence and reflecting on theme. 6. Sharing our reflections (if we wish). 7. Introducing something from nature and exploring this. This may or may not include a walking meditation. 8. Selecting something from nature in my lovely garden and saying why it is meaningful to you (if you wish to share). 9. Drawing upon poetry/prose to deepen our experience. 10. Looking a little at the science of meditation (knowledge) as well as the practice of it (art). 11. Sharing your own reflections on our time together, not necessarily verbally (although it can be) but through drawing or writing your own poetry or prose. 12. Expressing gratitude ~ aloud or silently.
I have been meditating on a daily basis for decades. For sixteen years I ran a Wellbeing Centre and edited its magazine. I have taught evening classes in meditation which include basic de-stress exercises and elements of Mindfulness. I draw upon different traditions to facilitate a sense of wellbeing as well as my own book ('Draw up a Chair') published last year. I also enjoy using nourishing exercises from the Western/Eastern traditions and people like Ferrucci, Bloom, Dyer. Ideally, meditation follows the inbreath as well as the outbreath, symbolising the inner/outer life. We need both!

Where you'll be
Meditation will be in my beautiful 18th C old barn. It's a homely sitting room/country kitchen. I will provide refreshments and make you comfortable. Meditation may also be outside in the summerhouse (used for this purpose) and/or my healing garden with mature trees. I have two rooms available if you wish to stay and include this experience.

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase.
Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.
Up to 4 guests ages 18 and up can attend.
You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
I will be pleased to chat to you on the phone and answer any questions you may have. I teach meditation in a slow and gentle way. No prior knowledge is required ~ just an open mind and a good heart!
