What you'll do

We'll meet in the morning at Olvera Street or "Calle Olvera" with a snack of horchata and pan dulce while I go over the history of importance of the area. I'll then give the group 30 minutes to walk around and shop. Afterwards, we'll walk over to Union Station and I'll describe the history of our long standing station with focuses on the arts and culture. We'll take the metro to Grand Central Market where we'll stop for an hour long lunch. After lunch, we'll take the metro to the Broad. As we walk over, we'll catch glimpses of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Colburn School, and the Museum of Contemporary Art and I will briefly describe the history and importance of each. Once at the Broad, I'll allow the group 2 hours to tour and shop the gift shop. Afterwards, I'll call an Uber to Little Tokyo. I'll explain the importance of this cultural hub while we walk through the plaza and enjoy steamed buns, spam musubi, or boba. From there is only a short walk to the Arts District where we can immerse ourselves in the prevalent street art community. From there our tour will end and I'll leave our guests numerous recommendations on what they can enjoy next!

Sierra

Hey there, I'm Sierra! I'm a Los Angeles native and have lived across different areas of LA my entire life, giving myself a varied understanding of our melting pot of a community! I studied Fine Arts in college with a focus on Art History, so I have a love for everything from street art to fine art collecting. I'm also a huge lover of food, staying up to date on every new restaurant opening whether it be fast casual or super fine. I fell in love with our diverse culture and immersed myself in it from a young age and I've loved sharing that interest with others ever since!
