What you'll do
We'll meet at the common area at Alder Hall on West Residential campus. We will then discuss the itinerary for the day and I will answer any questions. Afterward, we’ll jump right into visiting ‘KEY’ places for survival, entertainment, studying, and relaxing. Some places are well-known, while others are hidden gems. We will explore District Market, the best place to get necessities and grocery with Dining money. We will visit Elm Hall Residence and I will introduce life within the dorm. Then move on to the Built Environments Library, the best place to study and get work done (It is quiet, not crowded, and has a beautiful view of Seattle). Then we'll be visiting one of my favorite places to relax and "look up at the sky", it is a well-kept secret. Next, our group will walk over to the Quad. ***From April to May, the cherry trees bloom brightly within the Quad so get your cameras ready!!*** From the Quad, we will go to the HUB building. There are two hidden gems at the HUB that I want to introduce everybody too! While walking from places to places, I will be sharing as many tips as possible with everybody. :) Lastly, we'll conclude on North Campus at Center Table
I'm a first-year student at the University of Washington. Having fallen into many pitfalls of university life and then figuring out ways to come out alive and on-top, I am a walking survival kit. I have done it all and in the process, gained some valuable tips and advice. I know the great study spaces and dining areas around campus. Also how to make good connections around the school and meet new people. And I am ready to pass on my knowledge to help prospective students get an in-depth understanding of life at the University of Washington.
Where you'll be
Private Residential Dorm- I want participants to know what it's like living in the dorm, therefore, I will provide access to the dorm as a resident. District Market- the best place to get everything you'll need with Dining money. Build Environment Library- the staff at this library are extremely nice and helpful, unlike others. HUB- the combinations of resources and activities available at this building makes it necessary for success.
