What you'll do

A fun, energizing, unique 2 hour outdoor creative experience! We explore the less traveled, picturesque beautiful Northern woods of Central Park walking by monuments, gardens, ponds and bird watching areas as we look for interesting surfaces to create our masterpieces. You'll be guided to pay close attention to rich textures embedded with nature’s magnificent patterns and markings. On the surfaces of trees, rocks, etc., we etch out natural designs found on surfaces with graphite and/or charcoal - noticing how the impressions on the surface function on the picture plane, suggestive imagery may reveal itself to the mind’s eye. You'll have the option to go back in to the drawing with erasers and or colored pencils and pastels if they wish. The result will be a mixed media, abstract landscape empowered by surfaces and textures found in nature combined with the imagination and unique direction that each artist brings to the process. We'll sit down in an inspiring area of the park and observe what we've created. Often times seeing surprising hidden imagery like animals, faces, patterns that we could've never planned ourselves. Walk away with your own unique piece of Central Park!

I'm a NYC artist & Certified Creativity/Career Coach & Founder of Inspirality, Transformational Creative Experiences for Busy Adults. I've been bringing groups of people together all over the world using intuitive art practices as a tool to transform dreams into reality since 2012. I've lived in New York City for 21 years with a professional background in creative industries. Co-leading with me is my Fiancé , Casey Shaw, a NYC native and artist with a BFA in Painting from School of Visual Arts brings his in depth knowledge of composition, color and materials.

Where you'll be

We meet at 5th Avenue between 104th/105th at the Vanderbilt Gate. We'll walk by a few unique spots in the Northern part of Central Park, spots include: Conservatory Garden Burnett Fountain Sisters of Charity The Ravine Loch Walking Path Huddlestone and Glen Span Arch The Great Hill The Pool

Up to 10 guests ages 10 and up can attend.

More tips

Wear comfortable walking shoes & clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. We will be sitting on the ground using materials like charcoal, pencils and pastels. If its raining, it will be cancelled.
