What you'll do

A complete interactive experience with a professional Light Painter. As the participants arrive at our location, I will begin getting to know a bit about them and their history with photography. We will begin to set our cameras up shortly after, with assistance from myself. Helping everyone set the correct camera settings and find the best compositional strength. After set up, I'll begin displaying my techniques in Light Painting Photography. Starting with abstract light painting and self portraiture. Gradually moving into Portraiture with a model that will be taking part. After I demonstrate some technique, I will offer the tools up to my participants, giving them the opportunity to light paint themselves, either with a model or without. Whether you have experience or are a beginner photographer, this will be the next step forward for you!

Dylan

I am a professional light painting photographer. Perhaps the only serious practitioner of the Art form in Michigan. Graduating from Michigan State University in 2017 with a BFA in Photography. I was President of the MSU Photography club there for a year and won several awards during the MSU Undergraduate Exhibitions each year. Since graduating, I have spoken at 2 camera club meetings and 3 separate camera classes at Dewitt High School in Dewitt, Michigan. This past August, I taught 4 separate classes for Michigan Photography Workshops, which included a group of knowledgable photographers.
