What you'll do

The Oaxacan Vegetarian Cooking Class, we will make a tour of a beautiful traditional neighborhood of Oaxaca, I will lend you a "chiquigüite and mandil" busy to go to the market traditionally, we will make a tour of the neighborhood of La Merced, we will pass the most beautiful churches and we will walk through parks guarded by beautiful trees, pink, green and yellow quarry houses, I will show you beautiful parks of the colonial neighborhood and secrets of this area of the city. Halfway through our tour we will meet some producers of vegetables and fresh organic vegetables from a village near the city organically grown and harvested in the morning, later we will visit some producers of the neighborhood market, we will taste some snacks and we will buy some supplies for our class of Oaxacan vegetarian cuisine.

Hello my name is Renato Alonso, I am a young cook who studied literature and cooking, now I am part of a social project called Etnofood, a "Food Lab" in Oaxaca that seeks to promote the dissemination of food heritage. Together with the Team, we work on a community project of social tourism. In this project you will meet Juan Carlos, Martin, Mary, Lupita, Uriel, José and Abigail, all specialists and highly trained in the culture of Oaxaca promoting the Slow Food culture. Where you'll be

We will visit two churches in the neighborhood, two public parks, a stand of fresh and organic vegetables, we will visit a traditional Oaxacan market, and we will taste some complex flavors, we will cook in our project called etnofood and we will eat everything we cook in the class.
