What we’ll do

We will start the day with a hot drink and then select a piece of green wood to work with, exploring the properties that will make it suitable for spoon carving. Knives will then be introduced to refine the shape of your spoon and carve the bowl. We will have…

What I’ll provide

Food
Happy to cater for most dietary requirements. We can cook lunch over the campfire.
Drinks
The kelly kettle will keep us in hot drinks all day, and you’ll pick up some firelighting skills too!
Transportation
Within reason, I can transport to and from local train stations etc
Equipment
All green woodworking tools provided - axes, knives, spoon knives etc.

What to bring

Suitable clothing to be outside for the day
Personal medication

Where you'll be

Usually I host workshops at the delightful gardens of The Green Place, in Sileby. We have a nice woodworking area with a fire pit and plenty to explore in the grounds. However, at your request, I am happy to use one of my woodland permissions - however this would mean slightly less luxurious toileting and eating opportunities!
