What you'll do

We meet at 5:55PM at the base of the "Statue of a Pharaoh” in the Great Hall, inside the main entrance, for a round of introductions and ticket distribution. The experience ... 6:00-6:30PM, we review and practice the app(s) and techniques we’ll use for our creative assignment. We'll talk about basic principles of photography, art, storytelling, and creating content that can be uploaded for digital art or bookmaking. Then, your organizer, Roberta will guide you through a self-discovery process — providing helpful feedback and prompting discussion around what you see (i.e. composition, color, design, and storytelling). 6:30-7:30PM In the next hour, we explore The Met on a photo hunt, one gallery at a time to piece together visual content with our smartphone cameras for a final project. 7:30PM-8:15 We gather in the members’ only lounge to reflect on our photo experience, edit our content, tweak it and discuss a final project. Depending on our group's pace and desire, everyone will have begun working on a project to complete at home. 8:15-9:00PM Participants may remain in the museum galleries to roam on their own and enjoy until the late night closing time at the MET.
