What you'll do
I will review basic paddling skills and then we will go on a wonderful paddle across the bay to the island. Along the way, I will talk about what makes this man-made island unique. After landing on the sands, we will explore the island, go swimming/snorkeling in the snorkeling lagoon, and have a picnic. There are barbecue pits available. I will provide barbecue charcoal and grilling utensils. Bring your own meat and we'll cook it. If the water is calm, we can also circumnavigate the island in our kayaks.

I work part time as an Occupational Therapist and spend all my spare time hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, camping and exploring. I've been leading kayak trips for 20 years. I love being on the water and sharing my favorite experiences with newcomers.

Where you'll be
We will be touring the fascinating man-made island, Peanut Island and paddling in the crystal clear waters of Lake Worth inlet. The island houses the Kennedy Bunker, coast guard station, and the Maritime Museum. There is a protected snorkeling lagoon that is popular for swimming and snorkeling.

Guest requirements
Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend.
Guests can be beginners with kayaking but all experience levels will enjoy this event.
More tips
Bring your own kayak, PFD and whistle, or rent from the outfitter where we'll meet. Bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, dress to get wet, water shoes, water, and a picnic lunch and a change of clothes.
