What you'll do
After we meet at Arena, we'll take a short walk to one of the most popular contemporary art centers in Ukraine. We'll have a quick tour at their current exhibition and grab a coffee at a trendy coffee place with a nice view. I will share some stories about current Ukrainian art market, why Kyiv looks the way it does and what are some interesting directions the city's developing. From the center we will take a 20 min Uber ride to our next destination, a former Soviet Exhibition Center, which currently hosts various activities and events. While we walk through it I will show you a few interesting spots and also some activities which you can later explore during your stay in Kyiv. This will be a great spot for pictures, as the architecture differs from anything else you'd see in the city. One of the pavillions hosts an immersive 36o cinema that plays movies about space and our universe. Prior to our tour I will arrange a screening in English, so please let me know a day in advance so I can make this possible. The cinema is very immersive, so you'd feel like you're actually traveling across planets and stars. The tours includes: coffee or beverage of your choice, Uber ride, tickets to the 360 cinema.
Hi there! I'm a producer in a video production company that specializes in creative content. Being passionate about art, I have previously worked as an Assistant Curator at the Venice Biennale, specializing in contemporary art. While visiting new countries I always look for something more than visiting the main touristic locations. That's why it is always interesting to learn something new about culture and people through art and architecture. Thus, I'm inviting you to join me and explore Kyiv and modern Ukrainian culture from another angle.
