What you'll do
Visiting the Eternal City can be the dream of a lifetime, but discovering where and how the locals have spent their everyday life in Rome is an authentic experience. We will start the tour with the visit of the Roman Houses on the Coelian Hill, built underneath a medieval basilica with frescoed rooms, originally shops and storerooms of a working class building, transformed during the 3rd century AD into an elegant upper class residence. Then we will enter a unique Museum, previously the private apartment and atelier of a neoclassical Italian sculptor, Pietro Canonica, in the Borghese Gardens, where he lived and worked until his death, in 1959. Original fornitures and tools he used to make his fine sculptures will introduce you to the life of an artist who found in Rome his unexpected source of inspiration. And what's living in Rome really like nowadays? As a local guide my main contribute will be to tell you how Rome can make you or change you ...for better or for worse!
Stefania And Karin
Hi! I am a professional local guide in Rome. I studied Art History at University, focusing on the conservation of our cultural heritage. I believe it’s an honor and a responsibility to take care of it and to preserve it for future generations. I received my Master’s degree in Industrial Archaeology and then another one in Didactics of pictorial disciplines. I could have worked as a teacher or a professor, but I feel working as a guide is a special privilege and I hope to see you soon!
