About your host

I've been living in Tokyo for over 3 years. I'm from Washington DC, but have lived in London and Los Angeles. Prior to becoming a strength coach, I did protection for Bush and Obama in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm a father now and can't justify being away from my family, so I started training fighters when I moved to Japan.

What we’ll do

You'll have a one hour personal one on one strength and conditioning session, followed by a full on hour of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. After walking in the door, you'll change in a fully stocked locker room with showers. Towel and body wash is provided. You will get a brief physical assessment and discuss any issues or limitations, then move right into the warmups and then on to the strength…

What I’ll provide

No meals are provided, but there are plenty of food options adjacent to the dojo (Tokyo ramen, burgers, sushi, gyoza, etc)
There are vending machines on site with water, caffeinated beverages and protein shakes.
Gi's are available, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like.

What to bring

Bring athletic clothing comfortable enough to run, jump and lift in.

Where you'll be

The dojo is located in Hiroo, a neighborhood in Tokyo. It's conveniently located a short distance from the Hiroo Station, a few doors down from Starbucks.
