About your host
We are a little old Italian winemaker family. Our old rural house, called “Il Gazzo”, was building in 1500: it was a post stop where people stop for sleeping and changing horses in the road to the North. We are committed to making the best handcrafted wines and creating the best Valpolicella and Amarone tasting experience. We share our family experience of making wines since 4 generations.
What we’ll do
We'll start with a unforgettable walk in the vineyard, telling the family history of our winery and estate. We'll see the old traditional drying room where the grapes are air dried using Appassimento, a technique for which Amarone is known around the world, followed by a visit to the authentical ancien cellar for vinification and refinement. Bring your camera and comfortable shoes. I will provide to you the time schedule of the train from Milan to Verona, there will be a car for your pick-up to Valpolicella. Relax drink wines
