We will be meet you at an agreed location with all the boats and safety equipment you require. After a very quick lesson we will start our tour downstream. We are suitable for all ages and previous experience is not required.

We will take you to parts of Pembrokeshire that are rarely discovered. Along the route we will show you the amazing history of the estuary from its Norman castles and quarries to first and second world war submarine bases and flying boat stations. We will encounter some amazing wildlife from Crabs and Jelly Fish to rare birds and Seals (if we are lucky).

At the end of the approximately 3 hour journey you will be given a lift back to the start point to your car. We may finish at a pub, if so requested :).

We are a family run canoeing company with decades of guiding and coaching experience between us. Having paddled and coached canoeing around the world, we have settled in Pembrokeshire and agree it is one of the most idyllic landscapes in any country. We love the Cleddau Estuary, it has amazing history, stunning views and a vibrant mix of wildlife. We have been paddling here for years and are still discovering new channels, wrecks and places we'd like to share with you. We are all fully qualified British Canoeing Coaches and First Aiders.

We had never been canoeing before but everything was really well explained before we set off. We had great fun and got lots of interesting and fun information from our leader.

This was a fantastic 3 hours on the water. Sam was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who gave just the right amount of information about what we were seeing. He made sure that he spoke to all the guests. Dan was also great. Mustn't forget Maisie and her useful Welsh lessons! This was a perfect afternoon - weather was great too which was a bonus. Ending at Carew Castle was perfect as you rounded the bend in the river and canoed towards it. Stunning! Thank you to everyone concerned.

We and two other families (one with a dog) met our instructor, Sam, at the car park he’d directed us to. He was welcoming and friendly and made sure he got to know all of our names. He gave us our buoyancy aids and dry bags and a minibus took us to a slipway a few miles upstream where we began our journey. After a brief induction we set off, two to a canoe. We had the most idyllic journey through beautiful countryside with just our gentle chatter and laughter, and the noises of wildlife to break the silence. We passed a few boats but the river was very wide and we had all the space we could have wanted. Sam and the other instructor, Dan, kept the group together and went from boat to boat to chat to us all and answer our questions. We made one brief stop off where we learned about the brutal lives of tiny little crabs, whelks and barnacles, but otherwise Sam shared relevant pieces of local information as the needs arose. We learned about a castle, a bridge that was almost an engineering disaster, a major local landowner, the original of Stonehenge, Pembrokeshire ecology and the upsides and downside of living in this county. The paddling was easy as we were travelling with the tide. Sam and Dan were generous and very entertaining, and though the estuary got a little busier and noisier at the end, it was the most pleasant couple of hours you could wish for.

Fantastic trip - we loved it. Great to go on a guided tour and see some hidden gems we would never have found. Both Alec and graham were fun and informative. We’d do it again tomorrow!

Super day out on the water. Sam and Dan were great guides. Suitable for all ages. A little windy at times but the effort was worth it. Definitely recommend
