What you'll do

A 35-50km cycle ride through Ancient Woodlands, Neolithic Villages, Tin Mines and the jaw-dropping views on Coastal Roads - whilst avoiding all tourist traffic as much as possible. The roads are safe, quiet with lots of points of interest. We’ll visit some of West Cornwall's most famous mines in Poldark country, then drop along both Atlantic coasts. Various routes are available, depending on ability and what the group would like to see. There’s an optional trip to Lands End for those that want a photo next to the famous sign. At some point during the route, we'll have a cafe stop for a coffee and a bite to eat. If you've not got your own bikes then I can put you in contact with a local bike hire company. This is through a third party so availability can't be guaranteed and of course, there would be the additional cost of hiring the bike.

What's included

Food
Haribo's a-plenty plus a Cafe stop for coffee & cake
Drinks
Isotonic refills (if needed)

Hello! I’m a native of these parts and have spent far too much time (according to my better half) exploring out of the way places away from the tourist trails. With an inquisitive mind, sense of adventure and the ability to store all sorts of useless trivia, I can bring you on a guided tour that takes you away from the madding crowds. I’m an experienced bike tour guide, having run bike tours in the French Pyrenees for the past 5 years. I’m also a registered first aider and hold an up to date DBS certificate.

Where you'll be

Whilst Cornwall isn’t the Pyrenees, you will need a certain level of fitness to accomplish the route. Nowhere in Cornwall is particularly flat - ‘lumpy’ is the polite way to describe it, so expect some hills. But the effort of getting up them is certainly worth it.

More tips

Check the weather forecast before setting off. Sea fog can be fickle, with one coast bathed in glorious sunshine and the other shrouded in mist. Also be mindful that these are still public roads. I will text you a couple of days before with an update.
