You have to admit, the hair normally sparks a conversation! Especially in this era of vanity. I describe myself as a self taught hair braider, wig maker and owner of The HairBru Co, Which is a stimulating and creative hub that mainly distributes hair extensions as well as offers hair braiding, custom wig making and cornrow making services.

In 2018, I launched my company with the goal of extending my passion and love for hair not only as service but as a place for my clients to relax and engage. So I thought to myself, "Hey I provide the service? Why not teach it? And this is why offering a hair workshop came to mind.

Awesome experience and Nadia was an excellent instructor. Would recommend anyone interested in learning new skills or enhancing their skills even more should really attend

I took this experience as a means to obtain new skills that could help me build a stronger relationship with my family. In the Black community, hair is a deeply personal thing and so it comes as no surprise, we don't allow just anyone to touch our heads so a relationship between you and the person that touches your hair is a must. So going back to my reason for taking my class, I wanted to improve myself, be of greater benefit to my family and strengthen our bond. Now the class...I was greeted by three Nubians including the hostess Nadia. I was giving a hands on deep dive into Braiding 101. Nadia and the staff showed me different braiding styles and were extremely patient with my clumsy fumbling around. As I gained some sort of proficiency, I was challenged to a higher level which made the previous technique easier. At the end of the lesson, I was actually braiding the hair of a client with the other braiding artists. Mind you, I was wasn't lighting quick but I got it. I was given training aids to assist me in growing my technical base (until I attend the next lesson). I think if anyone wants to learn braiding from a host of passionate professionals then you cannot bypass this experience.
