What you'll do
Our day trip will take you on a special journey; we’re going to have fun, eat well, and see more of the Columbia Gorge than any other tour! We keep our groups small; you may join a few other explorers (we limit our trips at ten guests) from all over the world. We’ll pick you up at a downtown location convenient to you, then we head for the gorge! We’ll stop along the way to stretch our legs and have a little breakfast, coffee and tea. In the gorge, we’ll spend time among plunging waterfalls and towering trees. We’ll explore the region on a number of mellow walks and share secrets of the region's history that are glossed over by most visitors. Most importantly, where most tours turn around and return to Portland, we continue to the East to show off a diversity of landscapes, entering the hotter and drier eastern Columbia Gorge. Unique views of the river, Native American cultural history, and a broader sense of place, and fresh peaches (in season) are all part of the experience for those who choose this full-day escape.
