About your host

I am a lifelong explorer and world traveler. I love getting off the beaten track and finding the unexpected. I have lived in NYC for over 10 years and am still constantly amazed to find new things. I have scouted locations for Film and TV, have lead tours for organizations such as Atlas Obscura and am an avid biker.

Where you'll be

We start at FDR's Four Freedom Park and walk north past an abandoned Smallpox Hostpital, see the 3rd oldest house in NYC, visit what's left of the nations first insane asylum (Octagon Tower), see the island from a secret birds eye view, check out the islands pneumatic trash system, and end the day at the Roosevelt Island Lighthouse.
