About your host

Through cycling tours, I combine so many of the things I love: history, geography, public art, comedy, beer & friends.. A little more about me: - Boomerang resident of Pittsburgh (most recently for 10 years). - Serial entrepreneur, and startup community builder.. - Three-season cyclist who enjoys a city ride, a day through a forest, and longer touring.

What we’ll do

We'll meet in the heart of Pittsburgh's Regent Square where we'll discuss the day's ride and get comfortable riding together.  Then, I will lead you on a 4-hour bike ride through several Pittsburgh neighborhoods and parks, and see a wide range of terrain, architectural styles, oddities, great views, and street art along the way. ** I have a small number of late model loaner bikes available if you…

What else you should know

I highly recommend having a good breakfast before the ride. We can stop anytime for food/drink, but best to start with some energy. Pittsburgh neighborhoods have a varied terrain, and we will be riding up and down some longer and steeper hills, and some brick (and possibly cobblestone) streets.

What I’ll provide

Water
I'll provide a chilled (refillable) water bottle for each guest.
Bicycle
I have three, older model bikes you can choose from.
Safety equipment
I have two bike helmets you can choose to use.

Where you'll be

We will ride through several parks and distinct neighborhoods that are not always included on Pittsburgh tours. We'll start on the historic East End, and ride through Frick Park, Point Breeze, Shadyside, East Liberty, Garfield, Bloomfield, Lawrenceville, the Strip District, Downtown, Point State Park, and the Northside.  We'll make brief stops along the way at historic buildings and other notable points of interest.
