What you'll do
Firstly, we'll meet at Pangbourne Station (near Reading) We'll have a quick check in and I'll take you through historical Whitchurch to begin our experience. We'll visit the awesome Alpaca Farm where you can take pictures and see the Alpaca families. We'll pass through the beautiful Tolhurst Organic Farm and visit the shop/shed so you can make purchases if you want to (we will also pass this on the way back) Then through the historical Hardwick Stud Farm where we can meet the horses and give them a pat. Hardwick Estate is GMO Free and 5G free. The Estate has an interesting and ethical feel running right through and you will feel the magic of the community when you walk through the gates. Then a lovely walk through the Estate footpaths, up into the woods and down the other side and through the Mapledurham Estate horse livery. Then onto Mapledurham Mill, where we can stop for a lunch break, relax at the mill and take in the sites, take pictures etc. We can see the Grand Mapledurham House before we walk back down the footpath through Hardwick Estate and take a glimpse at the awesome Hardwick House. Please note this experience may be subject to change slightly but for the better as there is potential for little extras depending on who is home on the day. Essentially this is a guided walk and information about the elements of the Estates and their communities and businesses.
Hi, I've lived, worked and walked in and around the beautiful area of Pangbourne and Whitchurch for more than 30 years. I love walking (I work with animals so am always out walking in the country) and adventuring and want to share my experience with visitors who love to explore the country side and great pubs and restaurants along the way. I love animals and will take you on beautiful nature walks, river, woodland and hill walks and historic places of interest, we can visit animals in their herds and stop for tea in the woods en route. The area is part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and runs along the Thames River all the way to London
Please bring your own snacks for the journey.
Please bring your own water.
