What you'll do
We will meet in a quiet public outdoor space where we will slow down, disconnect from our devices and reconnect to ourselves and the land. I will introduce you to the practice of Forest Therapy & Shinrin Yoku. We will then spend about 2.5 hours in some of the most beautiful settings in the Front Range, where I will guide you into a deeper state of presence and connection to the natural world. We will periodically come back together as a group to check-in, share our stories and move to deeper levels of sensory exploration. The Forest "Bath" will close with a coming together over a tea foraged from the land with light snacks. In total, the activity will cover less than a mile, but depending on group we may cover slightly more. This is not a hike. This is an excellent experience for families, couples and solo travelers alike. Also, the entire experience can be booked by a single group for a family reunion, girls weekend, etc and custom tailored to your needs. In order to keep this accessible to out of town guests, we will meet a short (25-30minute) Lyft from downtown Denver, along the I-70 corridor. There is a more remote option for those with transportation. Just ask. Hear my podcast/interview here: https://soundcloud.com/brennabacke/what-is-forest-bathing
Lifelong outdoor enthusiast, ultimately moving to Colorado to be closer to the mountains, after a solo journey through SE Asia in which I discovered a profound connection to the mountains in Laos. Since then, I have covered more than 9K miles of CO trail. I have also spent years practicing mindfulness meditation and gratitude practice through the Insight (Theraveda tradition) developing a deep appreciation for the power of being present. Forest Therapy is the confluence point of these two passions & I was blessed with the opportunity to complete the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guide program, and am honored for this opportunity to help others connect with the great Colorado outdoors. If you are interested in a different day/time than shown, please contact me through AirBnB & if I am avail I will add.
Natural snacks and tea to complement the experience of connecting with the land.
I will provide sit-upons as well as sunscreen. (a MUST under the CO sun)

Golden is uniquely situated offering both foothill access and stunning mountain views. We will visit local favorite parks and "hang outs" at quieter times in order to enjoy both the beauty of the place as well as the solitude required for mindful engagement with the More then Human Beings that we share the spaces with.

Some guests have indicated a wish for something more "wild". Guests often arrive using rideshare, not always in the same group, I try to keep it accessible, but if everyone in the group has transportation I would love to take to a more remote location. Just ask.
