What you'll do

We’ll enjoy village life in a “Pueblo Mágico” and learn to cook the local Tepozteco cuisine with La Villa Bonita Executive Chef, Alexandra Quiroz, othwerwise know as “Chef Ale.” Chef Ale will teach you how to prepare an entire traditional Tepozteco meal in an incredible scenic open-air kitchen at La Villa Bonita. You’ll get a hands-on cooking experience and learn how to prepare a variety traditional dishes with local ingredients. Guests will make tortillas from ancient corn varieties grown locally and learn about the history of Tepozteco dishes. The cooking class will take 1.5 hours and once the dishes are prepared we’ll have lunch and enjoy a 360-degree view of the Tepozteco Mountains. The class and lunch will take place from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
