What you'll do
This workshop is a journey of art alchemy with the natural world as our inspiration. There will be materials: driftwood, shells, rocks, gemstones, crystals, feathers, rope, yarn, twine, wire, and vintage fabrics to collage from. Feel free to bring your own inspiration from the natural world that you would like to incorporate. There will also be paints (acrylic and watercolors), felts, crayons, pencil crayons, glue, and scissors. There will also be picture books on the natural world to draw inspiration from, including subjects such as botany, biology, geography, habitats, sacred geometry, and planets. Everyone will work on unique independent projects. Knots, macrame, collage, weaving, and wrapping techniques will be shared in circle. You can make a necklace, bracelet, earrings, dream catcher, spirit stick, collage, wind chime, wall hanging or plant hanger—whatever your heart desires. You will have a beautiful dream-time creation to take home with you on your journey.
I have been a nature and art lover since birth. I started a jewelry and interiors business in 2011, and have sold in shops in BC Canada, California, and Costa Rica over the last 7 years. I have held circles on botany, the moon, meditation, yoga, dance, creativity, the chakras, the medicine wheel, tarot, crystals, and cacao. I have also taught how-to workshops on jewelry making, watercolor painting, macrame wall hangings/plant holders, flower crown creation, mandala's and dream-catcher making in Vancouver, California, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.
