What you'll do

Visit Milano as if you were born here!

Hi, I’m Ruth a cool millennial for 10 years employed in fashion here in Milano where I was born and have lived my entire life! I have a degree in art history and I'm now a free lance journalist and a writer about history and art.
I sing opera and I have a huge passion for my city and its history.

I know the city’s secrets corners, best restaurants and coolest hangs!
With me, you will discover the ways of life of those born here- a true insider, authentic. With me, you won’t be a tourist, you’ll be a local!

Let me tell you the history, explain the architecture and give you the stories this magical city, all in a healthy 8km walking tour.

I'm a strong supporter of a healthy lifestyle so I’m the perfect guide for vegetarians and those that eat Kosher. Yes, I am the rare Jewish Italian!

My tour leaves from the famed Parco Sempione. We’ll see the Sforza Castle and its many courtyards plus, the De Chirico Sculptures. I'll show you Brera, the artists district, we’ll visit from outside the famed Duomo, and then we end in the very cool Navigli district, with its restaurant-lined canals!

3 magical hours to see the joy of Milano through the eyes of a young women who has lived, thrilled and relished living here her entire life!
Other things to note
We're walking a lot and we'll visit all buildings just from outside.

This was a great way to get a quick history of Milan. Because it is easy to do the Duomo on your own, we were glad that it was not a big part of the tour. Instead we got to see other areas of Milan that the average tourist would miss. Ruth even played some piano at the castle and sang a little opera for us! At the end she recommended a good restaurant for lunch too!

Ruth provided amazing historical context on our walking tour. We loved learning about Milano from Ruth. She gave us great tips for the remainder of our stay and even helped us order a taxi for our trip to the airport - so thoughtful and kind!
