About your host

I used to be a professional writer, but now I generally take it easy (though I still sometimes blog at Foodies Journey In Tokyo). I am a food lover, I write about food, and I lived in the Kagurazaka neighborhood for over 10 years. What else you should know

The fee here is only for guide services. Please note that you will also be responsible for paying for your food at all of the restaurants we visit. I will pay for my own food. I also offer an afternoon lunch tour and an evening izakaya (Japanese pub) tour. Check out my profile if you are interested

What I’ll provide

Equipment
I will also give you a list of very tasty Japanese restaurants in Tokyo that offer an English menu yet are not "foreigner only" establishments like you might find on the English restaurant review sites -- so that after the tour you can go to a nice cafe or enjoy lunch around Tokyo.

What to bring

Most good places are cash only, so please bring enough cash to pay for the places you want to go.

We will meet in Kagurazaka and eat a traditional Japanese breakfast together. After having breakfast I will show you hidden streets, historic buildings, a geisha house , designer shrines, good local restaurant and secret cafes. I am happy to be flexible, so feel free to make requests!
