What you'll do
After I moved to Tokyo, I explored lots of vintage film camera shops (mostly hidden in the valley or in the buildings) There are some cool and uinique shops in Shinjuku area, so i can bring you my secret places. Those camera shops usually have huge and rare collections that you might only be able to find it there. Most of those camera shops have been there for decades, they are the history of Japan's photography. We will meet up at a cafe at first, explain about different types of vintage cameras with showing my works and hearing the reason why I would prefer film cameras. I will show you how to use medium format camera and show you how to choose films. If you have a film camera already, please bring it and I'll show you some new technics about using the camera(metering, composing, etc.)
I started photography with digital cameras but ever since i picked up my first film camera I just fell in love with the mechanic feel the way film cameras capture lights and most importantly how the photos came out just amazed me, you cant see the same color or grain form a digital photo. I've been shooting photos for alomst 4 years now and have been working as a photographer in Tokyo for 2 years.
