Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Franklin D Roosevelt Lake

We had a wonderful time at Lisa’s place. We rented this house for our wedding weekend and found the drive into town to be short and easy (only about a 20 min drive to North Spokane). House was exactly as described and Lisa was very accommodating and friendly. We had a small issue with getting into the house because we didn’t understand how the lock on the door worked, but Lisa was super quick to respond and sent a how-to video that helped us figure it out. We appreciate Lisa’s hospitality and would recommend her place to anyone who wants a quiet escape.

We had another excellent experience with our stay at Amy's place. We are repeat visitors and are always happy with all accommodations. I will continue to stay here as we are always satisfied with the experience.

Wow! One of the nicest airbnbs we have stayed in. We came with kids and they loved the corn hole toss, puzzles and dolls. I loved the comfortable bed, nice linens and room darkening shades. Plus there was room for lots of people. Annie was a very helpful and friendly host and the hot tub was wonderful. Kids loved the area- near by to a park they could ride their scooters around. Nice quiet suburban neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay.

Yes, place was perfect for the ski trip that my teenage son, a couple of his friends, and I recently took to 49 Degrees North. The location is great… it is not too far from downtown Chewelah and Safeway.

We enjoyed our stay, but there was not enough towels or blankets. Also, the trash had not been taken out of the trash bins in the garage in a while it seemed. Overall, was a good place to stay.

This place was great! Three couples from three different places met here for a wonderful weekend! We had plenty of space, a great full kitchen, a beautiful deck and a hot tub. Looking out the deck, rolling hills, farms and even a horse in the backyard. Plenty of outdoor games available. Inside, spacious kitchen with all the pots and pans you’d need. Comfortable couch, plenty of beds and bedrooms, towels, really anything you’d need. There is no question we will be back! Felt so private, we can be a loud bunch, but felt remote enough that we didn’t have to worry about upsetting neighbors!

Great house, well decorated, clean and easy access. Downstairs "2nd living room" was a great hangout space for our teens and young adults. Dozen farm fresh eggs in the fridge and enough free delicious coffee for our entire stay was a great surprise!!

We had a great time in Heidi's place. Even with four adults and two toddlers, we had plenty of room inside and out of the house. The house is also really beautifully restored, especially the hardwoods.

Pros: The apartment had everything I needed, and was freshly remodeled. The location was great with a place to get a latte, groceries, or a quick bite to eat, right across the street. And the free E-car charger across the street was handy for me as well. Cons: The kitchen area was confined, especially between the fridge and sink. If noises keep you awake, bring ear plugs, as the cadet heaters click on/off periodically, and there can be street noise. The trash cans were left in the street our entire 4 night stay. The toilet paper is cheap, rough, 1-ply. Check in/out times were confusing. Upon booking I was emailed 3pm/10am. When I was given check in instructions, I was told 4pm. When I was given check out instructions, I was told 11 am. None of these cons are deal breakers for me, especially because of the great location. I would definitely stay here again.

Aaron was a great host. His home was beautiful and left clear instructions for his home. The paintings were beautiful and the home was cozy and comfortable

I had an unfortunate notification that a different Airbnb that I had rented for the weekend to visit my son and his family had a plumbing issue and they were forced to cancel my reservation. David's place was 2 miles from my original Airbnb and he was very accommodating. I could arrive a bit early if I wished. I did arrive about an hour prior to a normal check-in time and he was there to greet me. I appreciated the flexibility for me to stay there at the last minute due to the cancellation of my original Airbnb. The place looked just like the photos. I was able to cook two dinners there, since there was a full kitchen and plenty of dishes. The neighborhood was quiet and close to shopping. It was easy to get to the freeway from his rental.

It was such a pleasure staying in Tiffany’s lovely Airbnb. The description that’s shared is spot on. I loved the beautiful views and the sun light that floods every room. Tiffany was such a kind, proactive and friendly host. I stayed here for two weeks and it was a perfect location for me to walk to work and close to nice restaurants. Thank you again for allowing me to stay and I would highly recommend staying with Tiffany as your host.

The apartment was terrific--a little hard to find, but understandable in a downtown area. Jake's instructions were impeccable. The location was terrific. The apartment was quiet and felt safe with wonderful big windows. Outside didn't feel as safe, but that is to be expected in most downtown areas these days.

This was my second time renting Margene’s place and I just love it. My daughter and my grandkids live close so this it the perfect place to stay so I can see them. There’s plenty of space! I will certainly rent again in the future. Thank you for everything.

very clean. all amenties present. bed comfortable. Good location in terms of distance to downtown, freeway, arterials to other areas of town. having a brewery there made for some noise issues in early evening, either from the above apt or the outside seating of the brewery, I couldn't be sure which (or if both). Neither party was being obnoxiously loud for their setting, but I think the walls are pretty thin. Even so, the noise ended by 9 PM so it wasn't a big deal, just merits mentioning in case you need a quieter place. Hosts communicated well, all info needed was provided via email and posted in the room. Can recommend.

Great place to stay if looking for a little bit of a remote getaway without being too far from a city. Garry and Kathy were great hosts. Lake access + provided kayaks are definitely the biggest perk of this Airbnb! I would recommend staying here.

This condo is in a great location! Right at the base of the mountain. Ski-on/ski-off. The condo was clean and comfortable with a nice view. The kitchen was large with plenty of cookware, dishes, and utensils. The boot and ski storage areas were nice to have, as well as the hot tub and access to the fitness room. Check-in instructions were easy to follow. Bridget was helpful and responsive.

Nathan was an amazing host. Super communicative, helpful, and friendly. The rental was spotless and easy to find/access. They left us a basket with extra snacks, a welcome card, and extra toiletries which came in handy! I would stay here again and again. The neighborhood was also very quiet and felt really safe which was important for me. Thank you for making our trip so comfortable and stress free!
