Vacation rentals in Garðabær

We had a great week in the chalet. It was very cozy, pleasant, quiet and well-equipped. It is also very well located for discovering the Golden Circle, the capital and the different geothermal areas of south west Iceland. We enjoyed the Hot Tub with the family. Bjarni is very responsive and friendly. We would recommend this cottage 😊

It was really incredibly beautiful with a view of the horses. The hostess was totally nice and organized a horseback ride for us:) The cottage itself was also fantastic. As you can see in the pictures it is very small and cozy. But that didn't bother us at all. The hot tub was the highlight for us. Unlike other listings, the hot tub is not constantly warm/ full and chlorinated. It is filled with geothermal water when you want. It was really extremely nice. We also saw Northern Lights!

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had an amazing stay in the cabin. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, but still an easy drive to the supermarket (always good when travelling with hungry children). Close drive from the airport and easy to access the major roads for exploring by car. We would love to go back.

this place is truly a hidden gem. Definitely off the neaten path and not much around that's close food wise, but 1000% worth the extra miles to stay somewhere secluded like this with the magnificent views out the massive windows in the living room and kitchen. it is on the homeowners property, but once inside you feel like you are all by yourself out there. 2 bed, 2 bath and was there by myself but felt very spacious. the interior feels new and is updated with great shower and comfortable beds and couches. would highly recommend to anyone looking for great views and seclusion.

very nice location with a great view and ideal for peaceful spot to view Northern lights

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

Kristin‘s place was fully stocked, extremely easy to find and flexible timing when checking in and checking out! It was peaceful and a beautiful location. I would recommend this to anybody who has a family or traveling with multiple families.

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!
