Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Gauja

Excellent host and the backyard is very nice for outdoor meals. The walk to the beach is no more than 10 minutes, a nice bakery on the way to the beach. The river that is right next to the property is very quiet. The train tracks are right next to the house(train runs every 10 minutes) but the host has double windows in all rooms to lower the sound tremendously. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as the other 3 guest parties were a joy to converse with in the backyard. Two things to consider for your stay: 1.) Can you handle the train noise? every 10 minutes. 2.) Ask about bathroom size picture of the room you're renting. That backyard was worth it for me. like a mini arboretum.

Es war alles ganz wundervoll. Es war nur sehr heiß, vor allem in der Nacht, da man die Heizung nicht regulieren konnte. Ansonsten alles sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Wir fanden es auch super, dass wir unseren Hund mitnehmen konnten. Alle waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Danke für alles.

Worth every penny. Surrounded by nature. Fantastic decor and art. Beautiful stars. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom - had all possible utensils and even contact lenses liquid in the bathroom. Has a wonderful terrace. Great lighting outside and interesting nature surroundings. Very responsive and talkative host. Great spiritual spot for connecting with nature. Nice and spacious hot tub. Perfect rustic experience. Very artsy environment.

That's a perfect place if you need to relax, chill and find some balance between usual life and nature. No one is around, pure nature, small river around but at the same time its close to city center, you can have a delivery and easily plunge into the common world

Прекрасный домик в тихом месте Юрмалы. Очень отзывчивые и хорошие хозяева! Так совпало что когда мы заселились, то сломался бойлер и муж Галины проявил смекалку за что ему тоже огромное спасибо(можете не переживать, бойлер уже куплен). Мы остались очень довольными и наш четвероногий друг тоже! Территория ограждена, поэтому его можно без проблем было выпустить погулять. Если вы ищете тихое место и уют, то это определено лучший вариант за свои деньги.

La casa de Anu al lado del mar es un sitio encantador y perfecto, lleno de pequeños detalles que hacen la estancia muy cómoda. Sin ninguna duda volvería de nuevo para unas nuevas vacaciones. La sauna, las bicicletas, la barbacoa, la barca, la tranquilidad de esta zona preciosa han hecho de esta estancia un gran recuerdo. Muchas gracias Anu por tu gran hospitalidad.

Mājoklis bija tieši tāds, kā gaidīts – mājīgs, skaists, kārtīgs un ar patīkamu atmosfēru. Saimnieks bija atsaucīgs un viegli komunicējams. Vieta ir ļoti attālināta no pilsētas burzmas, kas padara uzturēšanos īpaši mierīgu.

Mums ļoti patika mūsu mini atvaļinājums – apartamenti atrodas skaistā vietā pie jūras. Ļoti kompakti, tīri, gaiši, ir viss nepieciešamais dzīvošanai. Jūra tikai 5 minūšu attālumā. Teritorija ir plaša, ir restorāns, SPA, bērnu laukumi. Saimnieks vienmēr bija sazvanāms, ļoti atsaucīgs. Noteikti atgriezīsimies vēlreiz. Ļoti labi, ka var uzturēties ar mājdzīvnieku – mums ir mazs sunītis.

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need- and more! From charcoal and all the grill tools, logs for the hot tube and sauna, to a great coffee machine and thoughtful touches throughout. The terrace was super cozy, surrounded by lush greenery, with plenty of different types of swings and places to unwind. At night, the starry sky was magical. It’s ideal for 3-5 people with plenty of space and clearly lots of love and care from the owners, both inside and out. The host even left us some sweet, delicious surprises that made us feel truly welcomed. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, making the most of the house and garden.Time flew by, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. We would love to come back again someday. Thank you for everything! Lieliska vieta, kur atpūsties no pilsētas burzmas. Viss tīrs un pārdomāts. Ļoti atsaucīgi un pretimnākoši saimnieki. Izmantojām arī pirtiņu, kas bija lieliski sagatavota. Patika, ka ir padomāts arī par bērniem, kur var drošā vidē iziet, pastaigāties, rotaļāties bērnu laukumiņā, un pat apskatīt aitiņas. Noteikti vēl atgriezīsimies!

Akmeni Resort was amazing! It was very clean and cozy. Kitchen had all equipment for cooking and a big bonus was coffee machine, as we are big coffee lovers. Beds were big and very comfortable with extra pillows. Outside there was a BBQ and with extra cost we could use jacuzzi or sauna. Grownups had also comfy robes that were perfect after a jacuzzi. The place was perfect with kids, as all they did was having fun in pool or in jacuzzi, or if they had a break from swimming, they could play in the playground or just watch local squirrels play and eat in their cage. Even though there are three other rentals on the spot, it was quite peaceful and we could enjoy sound of crickets in the evening. We really loved this place!

Great apartment

Wow! If you're looking for a peaceful, private nature getaway, this is the place for you! We absolutely loved our weekend at Verners' cabin. It's on a hill right next to the river, you can enjoy the beautiful view and soothing sound of the river from the terrace. The cabin is simple but comfortable and cozy. We came with our dogs and they loved it, being able to run around free. There are benches and a table by the river, it's also possible to go for a swim! Would definitely come back again and highly recommend Verners' place to nature lovers looking to relax.

Jäime majutuskohaga väga rahule, hubane ja mugav korter armsa terrassiga. Pigem vaikses rajoonis, eemal suuremast kärast, lihtne leida ja kõik vajalik oli olemas. Korter on avaram ja suurem, kui piltidelt vaadates ja hea une tagas eriti mugav ja pehme voodi! Suhtlus majutajaga sõbralik ja meeldiv.

Burning fire stove was welcoming us inside, while everything was just so clean, peaceful and silent, exactly as in pictures. Big windows allowed us to enjoy nature and singing birds straight from the bed. I would definitely come back again. Amazing place, thank you very much!

L’appartamento è delizioso e spazioso, in un’area riparata dalla confusione del centro ma molto strategica per spostarsi a piedi per la città. I dettagli interni erano veramente carini e Konstantin ci ha fornito tempestivamente tutte le istruzioni per fare un check in semplice e senza sforzi.

We were very pleased with our stay at Karlis’ house, which features a charming garden, a cozy terrace, and comfortable upstairs bedrooms. We stayed for three days with our dog, who was warmly welcomed. The nearby forest, with its many scenic trails, was perfect for walks. The peaceful, nature-filled area just outside Riga was ideal for relaxing. The house’s rustic feel, especially on the lower floor, added to its charm. The front door was an unforgettable, authentic detail—it felt like stepping into a Grimm’s fairy tale. The house has been modernized with care, preserving its unique "cigar box" character, especially at the lower floor. Karlis' house is truly a gem, and it was a delight to learn about the artist who once lived there and see his remarkable sculptures still on display.

Everything that is in the description perfectly matches the reality. I was lucky to see Gatis in person because I arrived a bit too early - very sinere and helpful host. The place itself was exactly what I was looking for - it was nice, simple, tidy, private and overall it felt very cozy. Also the well-kept bicycle was put to good use :) This place is definitey worth it for all kinds of travelers. It is perfect for a family, for pairs and for people just wanting to switch-up their surroundings when working from home. Definitely a great find for myself and I can see that I will visit this place again :)

Unser Aufenthalt bei Agnese war sehr schön! Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir waren dort Ende Oktober/ Anfang November, sodass es schon etwas kalt war. Es gab einen Ofen, bei dem wir selbst das Feuer entfachen und versorgen mussten. Das war kein Problem. Die Umgebung war sehr ruhig, jedoch liegt das Haus direkt an einer größeren Straße. Im Haus und auch im Schlafzimmer war es für uns jedoch kein Problem. Wir würden die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen!
