“The Wild Orchid is a delightful place to stay! There is a beautiful beach right next to it for a morning walk and the staff there are incredibly thoughtful. We loved the open air restaurant for relaxed breakfasts and the eco-friendly water refill station. A wonderful place to recharge and enjoy the island.”
AC Double Bed Rooms with well equipped western style Toilet bathroom with Hot and Cold water with shower and Jetspray
Hello, backpackers to Andaman, we are here with the first tourist hostel service in Andaman & Nicobar islands, located in beautiful Havelock Island, Govinda Nagar, behind By the Way. We accept only backpackers and travel enthusiasts, we have started with 4 beds(2bunk beds), and have a private room too for 2. The rooms are very spacious and have attached bathroom, and a community kitchen, you can have hand picked vegetables from our organic farm and cook for yourself and many more experiences.
“If you are an independent traveller of the adventurous type looking for a simple budget stay in the middle of nature then this is the place for you! Simple bamboo / wood accommodation with a touch for details in the middle of palm trees and rice fields (around 100m away from the main house and any neighbouring houses). No WiFi but you can occasionally use the WiFi connection in the main house on request. The accommodation is partly open (gaps between the bamboo construction) so you should expect mosquitos and some bugs but nets are provided for a sound sleep. Outside shower under the blue skies or night stars/moon. Plenty of eateries on the main road and not far from the main market & a supermarket. Sunrise spot nearby (but it is mostly a rocky beach), you will need some sort of transportation (scooter, tuk tuk, local bus) to get around. The Andaman Islands don’t seem to get many solo travellers, it is mostly family and couple tourists visiting, so something to keep in mind. The accommodation is best shared with friends or in company. For communication it helps if you have an Indian mobile number as Nishant and his mum are not always in.”
