Our family home is located 65 km far from the historical city of Jodhpur in a typical Thar desert village near Osian. We have built four traditional style rooms so that we can welcome people to our home. You will have an authentic homestay, experiencing Mum's home cooked Rajasthani food and joining in our family life. During your stay, you can also arrange camel and jeep safaris in the dunes (at an extra cost). A short walk around the village is essential to see its true colours.
“A wonderful homely stay at.... Perfect place for those who want to get away from the sophisticated, urban life style and go back to basics for a change.. Some real quality time to spend with family on the lap of nature, in the company of goats ,camels and peacocks , keeping aside your phones and getting into chats with a family of amazingly simple and straight people , the kind of villagers who reminded me of the ones in movie Lagaan, enjoying their respect and great hospitality and typical simple, home cooked Rajasthani cuisine and unlimited supply of tea whenever you ask for. The camel ride and Jeep Safari are experiences for a life time and very different from the very commercial ones you may get to enjoy in Jaisalmer and similar tourist destinations which are highly expensive... All this and more @ unbelievably reasonable rates...”
Authentic Rajasthan experience. Away from the tourists. Quite and peaceful way to enjoy Sand Dunes and comfortable stay Includes Breakfast Tea Coffee Pick up and drop from osiyan
My place is close to the Temple and Desert Sand Dunes. You’ll love my place because of the real Indian Home Stay feel. We offer camel rides, beautiful stars at night, wild peacocks, and always Masala tea. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
“A true Rajasthani rural stay and a uniquely authentic encounter. We enjoyed a fantastic stay with Nain Sukh, his wife and three children in their typical desert home. Our arrival felt quite special. From the jeep ride to the village, the brief stop to climb on a dune for a amazing view, the peacocks and the camel feeding, all through the sunset and starry night from the rooftop. The fresh and clean air of the desert felt like a great escape from the urban busyness. Don’t miss out on the food. The dinner and breakfast dishes are almost impossible to find elsewhere. It is all strictly home-cooked vegetarian, and for us included Rajasthani Lapsi and homemade paratha for breakfast. An absolute treat. :) Bring a scarf or sweater for the sunrise camel ride. We chose to do ours from 5am so we were pleased to be snuggly covered. We came back just in time for a family breakfast and saw the kids off as they were leaving for school. If you want to experience a stay here, as the internet connection in the desert is expectedly not stable, I recommend finding Nain phone number on trip advisor and call him on the phone or WhatsApp to arrange your booking and stay. He is lovely and helpful.”
