Rebecca was a wonderful host! She was incredibly friendly and helpful with anything we needed. I fully recommend her and her property for anyone traveling through the area! The home is beautiful, private, and just perfect for us!

We had an amazing time at Raum's Hollow for our 2 families. The kitchen was well-stocked and the lake was such a hit for our tweens and teens - they loved kayaking, there's a hill to fly kites, and it's quiet and peaceful. A great getaway close to great hikes.

We had a wonderful stay in this really beautiful and peaceful setting. We fed the fish, watched the purple martins scooping up bugs, and watched the first stars appear in the sky. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Words cannot express how beautiful this place is! Complete peace and solitude, surrounded by nature. I came for rest and relaxation and got it! Home was clean and did not lack anything, plenty amenities. Perfect location to catch breathtaking sunrises and sunsets! Paula was always quick to help out and very communicative! She was very kind, patient, and friendly, thank you Paula! Definitely want to stay again.

Great people to surround yourself with! Fire wood was there ready for your use room was ready and clean, like they told us, everyone is just one big family there and you could definitely feel it. We will definitely be coming back with our children.

Great spaceous place with beautiful view of the Ohio River.

this was a beautiful place to stay off the beaten path, definitely a diamond in the rough. The view on the back deck was amazing and we caught a huge thunderstorm that was awesome to watch. The only one negative thing I would say, is the beds were a little uncomfortable. Thank you so much, Matt! we are definitely thinking about bringing a large group out here to stay.

This is a great location for a great price! Wi-Fi and cell reception was spotty but we sort of expected that for the location. The place is clean and has everything you need to make meals. The view off the back deck was awesome, so cool to look at the Ohio river and see Kentucky on the other side. I would definitely stay again but I would bring food to cook at this place as there was not an open grocery store in Golconda besides Dollar General. We drove to Cave in Rock to eat at their outdoor restaurant and it was not worth it. Should have just stayed and enjoyed the views at Matt’s place. I would have also brought more bedding as the bedding was clean but basic sheets and blanket. Really nice large jacuzzi bath tub and single shower. Everything you need with easy check in/out and great communication from the host. We stopped at the main welcome building and the lady working was very nice and helpful with suggestions/answering questions.

We had a great time! My kids and our dog enjoyed the large, open yard. The fire pit was great for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for s’mores. We would like to go back at some point and would definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.

Shawnee Forest Cabins were a great place to stay after hiking the area all day. The cabin was cozy, easy to find, and very clean upon our arrival. The hosts were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. If you utilize the hot tub, make sure you look up and appreciate all the stars!!!

We needed a place to get away and do some soul searching. Steve's place was perfect. It's so peaceful and quiet. We had the best time. Caught some fish and had a great time in the hot tub. Steve and his wife were great company while we were chatting at the winery and gave great recommendations on places to visit. We also had plenty on privacy when we needed it. We will definitely be going back when headed back to that area to explore.
