Milargos and her husband welcomed us with infinite kindness. Bedroom (very large) and bathroom are very, very clean. It is in a beautiful flower garden. The dinner Milargos prepared for us (delicious ropa vieja😋) and breakfast (delicious too) were taken in the garden, covered. We would highly recommend this family and this place.

Amazing stay at Daymara's, the basic accommodation was not available but we were able to stay in a small outbuilding, right next door, at Daymara's parents' place. The whole family is more than welcoming, the village is beautiful and some activities are feasible without a car: el salto and el mirador. It is also possible to take advantage of the Soroa hotel swimming pool for free, very pleasant after the hot walk to El Mirador. Finally, what would be this casa particulare without the incredible cuisine of Daymara's mom, certainly the classic rice-poulet-fruits is still present but cooked this time in the best way. We highly recommend this host!

Really wonderful to stay here, a beautiful view and immersed in nature. Be warned that the fans won’t work if the power goes out, but there was a great breeze through the cottage at night, so that wasn’t an issue. Wanda was an amazing host,really appreciated how communicative she was.

This was a lovely place to stay! It is beautifully situated and easy to get to the village centre on foot. Mariano was a great communicator and was very helpful, flexible and friendly. He organised a fantastic birdwatching tour with a local artist and his wife cooked us lovely breakfasts and arranged reservations for us at a great vegetarian place in the village (El Romero). The room and bathroom are spacious and the front balcony provides excellent views of the mountains. The natural swimming pools are nearby too. We’d recommend here for Las Terrazas!

Aliuskas place is a bit of heaven on earth. Soroa is a less touristy place so in my opinion, worth visiting. I engaged the services of a local guide Alex Diaz who taught me about the birds, plants, history of the region. Aliuska was able to offer me both breakfast and dinner, the dinner was the best food I ate in Cuba. Simple, many vegetables, perfect. Their casa is next to a one room school for grades k-5. So, if you are inclined I would ask her if she needs anything for the children. I brought powdered milk for an activity she was doing to make hot chocolate for them. The power is not on 100% so bring a phone charger and flashlight. Also, mosquito repellant. I would 1000% recommend Aliuska’s casa as a way to experience the beauty of Cuba. And I am sure that she can curate any type of experience you are looking for.

The house was beautiful with plenty of property to explore and feel inside of nature. Jenny is a yoga instructor and we even had a private yoga session in the morning, while they served us coffee and tea from their garden. They provided us with dinner one night, when we requested it. They have a neighbor who has a horse that brought us in carriage to eat dinner. The house is decorated with all hand-made art from family and friends. We were very close to the Salto Cascada de Arcoiris and el Avioncito for hiking and being in the waterfalls. Perfect for if you want to get into nature and disconnect!

You get your own room with seperate entrance. Room is very spacious and clean. Good bed also. Refrigerator with some drinks available in the room also. Very friendly welcoming. We also tried the breakfast and diner and it was really good!
