Private studio at Doc's Guesthouse - Hospital for the Soul! in downtown Davis ... steps from local brewery, coffee shop, galleries, restaurants and shops ... private entrance, kitchen and bath. Minutes to Thomas or Canaan Valley.
“This is a great space in downtown Davis. One block to the main street with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Very close to Blackwater Falls State Park and 10 miles to Canaan ski area (and Timberline if they reopen for 2020/2021 season). Fully furnished with a complete kitchen, great hot water, great TV, and quiet. I was here in March 2020 for skiing and it worked out much better than the local motels. Highly recommended and I will be back.”

“Shelly's barn cottage is situated in a quiet, enchanting place along a creek. It is a very peaceful site, providing a perfect situation to get back in touch with nature and its magic. The cozy cottage lets in a soft, diffused light by which you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon or morning coffee with your loved one. You can hear the rushing water and lively chirping of the farm animals, who are all very friendly and interesting to observe. Shelly's place is in an ideal location, close to climbing access routes and trails. Neighboring towns, which are a bit farther away, are filled with music and art. We really loved staying at Shelly's place and highly recommend it.”
Imagine relaxing on the front porch of a cabin on a hill and watching the sun set on the mountains. The sky darkens; crickets chirp; nature's night sounds are all you hear. The Milky Way comes into view and stars twinkle pleasantly. Sheep baaah in the distance. No technology distracts from the moment. No demands of life tax you. This is evening at the tiny house. Though it's off-grid, you'll find that there's little extra work involved. It's set up so you can just come and relax.
“Kent, Cynthia, and Marissa were wonderful hosts. The cabin was exactly as described. The views were absolutely stunning, and photos do not do the location any justice. Marissa was even kind enough to point us to the extra jugs of water in the cabinets when we were running low, which ended up being more than enough for the entirety of our two night stay. My only suggestion would be to ask for very specific directions from guest parking to the cabin if you plan to arrive close to sunset to avoid wandering around the property searching for the cabin because (unlike the city) it gets very dark at night. Despite the unexpected May snow, the cabin was warm and accommodating. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and I loved how the cabin allowed us to disconnect for the weekend. I also highly recommend visiting the highest peak in West Virginia while staying at the cabin because it is located conveniently close.”
