Your profile is how you introduce yourself on Airbnb. It includes details about your identity and reputation in the Airbnb community. It gives hosts and other guests a sense of who you are when you’re booking a stay, joining a trip, leaving a review, or going on an experience together.
Your profile is visible to other guests you join on reservations, this includes:
Your profile is also shared with other people going on the same experience, even if you’re not on the same reservation.
Sharing your profile is a great way to connect with other guests you meet and stay in touch after the experience.
You can choose to share your profile with all guests on an experience. Each reservation you book will have a profile setting where you choose to share your profile. If you do this, your profile will be shared with all other guests going on the same experience, even if you’re not in the same travel group.
When you share your profile, your profile photo and hometown (the country or state associated with where you’re from on your profile) will appear on the public guest list for the listing, and your full profile will be shared on the guest list visible to everyone who is attending the experience. Sharing your profile also allows other guests to request to message you directly.
The guest list for attendees will be visible during the trip from the reservation details and message thread. After the trip, shared profiles appear on Connections; for people who attended the experience.
You can choose to change if you share your profile with guests outside of your travel group on a specific experience at any time. If you don’t share your profile, your profile won’t show up on Connections for other guests outside of your travel group and people outside of your travel group can’t request to message you directly.
To change this setting, you can view the guest list and adjust your profile settings from your trip details. Open your experience reservation and scroll to Who’s going and make changes within Profile Settings.
