“Took a little trip to the mountains during self isolation time with my daughter away from the crowds and found this little gem. The cabin is up on a hill away from everyone surrounded by Mother Nature. Everything was very clean, cooked in each night and there wasn’t anything she didn’t have to cook. One day Pam came to say hello (and we got to meet her adorable pups) and brought us some diffenrent flavored coffees and wanted to see if we needed anything else, thought that was super seeet and gave that extra touch. We loved the cabin and didn’t mind at all self isolating for a few days in between our hikes. Hope to come back again in the summer, we are wanting to swim in Lake Chatuge and enjoy another stay in Pam’s cozy cabin.”

“If you are looking for the perfect getaway this is the one. The place was larger than we expected and so, so clean. There were lots of special details to make it feel like home- like the drawing of the kitchen nook or just enough throw blankets and pillows to be comfy, but not overwhelmed. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the cookware you want- we needed nothing for our 2 month stay, but our own food. The area was beautiful - the lake beach was lovely. We went swimming and fishing frequently and visited some nearby state parks and the dam. Due to state-wide COVID restrictions we didn't have much opportunity to visit the cute shops in the downtown area. We'll just have to plan another stay to do it again! Our kids loved the wildlife - bird-watching, seeing the deer nibbling apples from the tree, and even a couple appearances from a shy fox! The host were very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. We had an absolutely transformative time at the Lake House and are looking forward to our next visit there. I can't recommend enough!”

“Monica and Ed not only hosted my family in their luxurious and adorable cabin, they provided us with all of the information about the house and the local community to have the most memorable trip! We woke up with views that would take your breath away, walked along the Chatuge Dam, rented wave runners to tour the Chatuge Lake, hiked around in the Nantahala National Forest to see waterfalls, drove to the top of Bell Mountain to see God’s Masterpiece of never ending mountains and lake, enjoyed the “Festival on the Square,” and even toured the Clay County Historical and Art Council Museum. We definitely found a perfect place to spend our last few days of our family adventure, and made new friends! Thank you so much Monica and Ed!! We look forward to the next time we visit!”
