This humble cowboy casita began life as a carefree 1950's travel trailer that came to Hillsboro and decided to put down roots. Close to the great Gila Wilderness and both Caballo and Elephant Butte Lakes, we are flanked by ghost towns; the tall pines of Kingston, the foodie town of Silver City and the healing hot waters of Truth or Consequences. You'll love the plush linens, coziness, and the views. Our place is a great launch pad for outdoor fun- whether a couple or solo adventurer.
“Nicki’s place is great if you want to get away from the world. This is my second time staying with her and I will come back again. Her hospitality is what I love most about staying at her cute Airbnb. I do have to mention, Hillsboro doesn’t have eating options except for the restaurant next door to Nicki’s vineyard. Keep in mind this is not open all the time or every day. Be prepared with a plan for food when staying. There are a few options in the vicinity. I didn’t mind this too much since I brought snacks and expected to eat elsewhere like in truth or consequences. Thank you again, Nicki for the wonderful stay!”

“We had a great quick stay at Cheryl’s. There was tons of stuff for cooking, which is ways so helpful! The record player was an added bonus to the charm of the cottage. Cheryl was great in making sure we had coals necessaries for the grill. There’s a nice outdoor patio where you can watch the hummingbirds and the stars at night. Also heard some coyote chatter! Overall really nice stay, would stay again, or recommend it as an artist retreat space. (Make sure you fill up your gas tank before you get into town!)”
This one-story historical adobe house still holds some of its traditional old style charm and quirkiness while blending rustic craftsman touches and a little industrial flare throughout. Some features include stained concrete floors, hand crafted wood vanities and a beautiful kitchen with new appliances. There is ample parking at this location conveniently near Interstate 25. You're just minutes from the local hot springs district, breweries and tasty restaurants.
“Darryl's place is wonderful. I think Cindy takes care of it and she does an amazing job of keeping it clean and stocked with snacks/coffee and other essentials. My colleague and I use Darryl's place as a meeting place to get some writing done, and we couldn't ask for a better place. When we arrived, the wood stove was ready to be lit since it was cold outside. The beds are very comfortable and warm. The internet is very good. The check-in process is super easy and the location is perfect, just a short drive to the all the hotsprings. I highly recommend Darryl's place!”
