Our home is located on an island just a few kilometers off the Trans Canada Hwy, 40 minutes east of Sault St Marie, ON. We have a bungalow located on 3 and 1/2 acres, very private, rural setting, that's why we call it Eden. There is a small town with amenities near by.
“Staying and Nancy and Benn's was one of the best AirBNB experiences I've had. I was simply looking for a comfortable place to rest, sleep and shower on my long drive back to Toronto and it delivered and then some. From the thoughtful touches such as my name on my room door, to the excellent hospitality in providing me a muffin for the road upon my departure, everything was amazing...such a kind and lovely couple! The room itself was perfectly comfortable and they also had seperate bathroom designated for guests. The setting for their house in the quiet Richard's Landing was like staying at a relaxation retreat where you could escape from the world. Also incredible value! Just amazing!”
This cute and cozy cottage has beautiful water views, shallow entry to the water and views of passing lake freighters. It is approximately 16 km from quaint Richard's Landing which offers groceries, LCBO, restaurants, artisan shops, a marina and a 24 hour clinic. The bright sunny cottage has two bedrooms, laundry, kitchen and living room. The beautiful expansive yard is level with fire pit, dock and shallow entry in to the water. Included with the rental is a pedal boat, kayak & life jackets.
“The space is just like the pictures. Exactly as advertised. The sunroom was beautiful. We spent lots of time on the deck and by the water. We used the paddle boat and kayak but didn't swim since it was a bit too cold and the water was murky. We saw deer several times in the area and the backyard!! A young male and a momma and two babies. The neighbors are the friendliest people. I loved the community we saw out there. The camp is a perfect cozy size. We were very comfortable. Shower and bathroom were good. The water pressure in the shower was perfect. When I had an issue with the toilet seat, I let Heather know. Lots of cutlery and plates and glasses. The fridge is a little older so we were gentle with it. The camp ground was neatly kept. The grass was clean of sticks and junk. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a first aid kit for guests. You never know you need it till you do. FYI for anyone out there, I am with virgin mobile and did not have service at the house. I had to walk down the street to get service. If you are expecting to use your phone, you might roam on an American tower.”

“We made a last minute (ie. can we stay from tonight) decision to stay here and Colleen & Gene were very accommodating. The best things about Colleen & Gene's place is the view to the lake. The couches and kitchen bench face to the lake so you can see that gorgeous view. We had some spectacular sunsets. Their place is exactly as described and is very cozy and comfortable especially now it is getting a bit cold (for us Australians!). It was too cold but there are kayaks you can use to paddle on the lake, there is also a summer house where you can sit and enjoy the view. We'd love to come back sometime in the summer one day.”
