“Tani, Tessa and the kids made our first days in the Philipines a time never to forget! Their hospitality was great and we felt home from the very beginning already. Tani picked us up from the bus station very, very early morning (4 a.m.) and had arranged a tricycle to bring us and our luggage to their home. We really enjoyed joining breakfast/lunch/dinner with them during our stay and loved their home-made Filipino dishes which they especially made for us! Tani is also a very good tour guide which brought us to Batad Rice Field Terraces including a freshening dip in the Tappiya Falls. We could decide which track we liked depending on our stamina. During the trip we also learned a lot about the area and his passion for climbing mountains. We highly recommend Tani to other guests as a guide. Tessa is a very lovely and creative mom that likes to show her own creations when you ask for it! We bought some souvenirs and even got a nice personal gift when we left their place! The kids LJ and Duke are friendly and enjoyed it when we spend time in their home. To conclude, if you really want to experience the Philippine-way of living for a good price and don’t mind a cold shower, this is the place to be! Eventually Tani and Tessa plan to increase the comfort more for the guests but they’ve just started their business. Very warm greetings and all the best to you expanding your business! At Randy's Brookside Inn, we love to meet and entertain people from all over the world. Travellers of all nationalities are invited to share our home while exploring the many world class treasures Banaue has to offer. Ifugao hospitality at its best !
“We booked this place because we've never seen any Airbnb has such five star reviews across the board. And in a town like Banaue, choosing the right host can make all the difference in the world. Although we didn't get to meet Randi in person, he took great care of us by sending extensive tour suggestions and responding to our feedback in real time. If something doesn't feel right, he fixed it for us right away. The place is basic but honestly feels cleaner than a hotel (despite the shower being a bit cold for Asians liking, the rest is flawless.) We thoroughly enjoyed everything he arranged for us and would defo recommend his place with a heartbeat.”
Renovated upstairs loft apartment with one bedroom for 2 guests and sleeping for 2 guests on top. The chalet is located 2 kilometers before the busy town centre of Banaue, in a quiet valley among the rice terraces, pine and fern tree forests. Take note you need to go down around 60 steps going to the house.
“We stayed for three nights in the Chalet and really enjoyed the time. The view from the balcony is just beautiful, the equipment in the really clean appartment includes everything you need and the bed is really comfy. We got picked up at the bus and got the chance to buy some food at a grocery store, bakery and the market. They also organized tours for us which included everything like transport and guide. We could really enjoy the time we had in Banaue and had a great time.”
