We are a half mile from State Rt. 15 on 29 secluded acres near the Gila National Forest. The setting is quite pretty and we have lots of wildlife on the property. The open area has a full size bed and a sleeper sofa, a small table with chairs, microwave, coffee pot, and small refrigerator. The back of the bunkhouse has a walk in shower, sink and toilet. It does not have a kitchen. We do not allow smoking inside. We don't allow children or pets as the Bunkhouse is not a good fit for them.
“Other reviewers have said it all, but Mike is truly a legend of a host and the bunkhouse (and all of Rockhaven) is a very special place that won’t disappoint you! Do yourself a favor and spend as much time as possible with Mike for some great stories and even better local tips. He knows the area super well and has insider knowledge on all the best hiking spots! Rockhaven itself is incredible, Mike has clearly put so much time, effort, and care into the property. Our favorite part was watching and interacting with all the wildlife. There are a few “regulars” of mule deer who frequent the property that were absolutely beautiful. As others mentioned, Mike’s baked goods and freshly ground coffee ensured our mornings started off on the right foot! Overall, Mike redefines hospitality, was available almost instantly for anything we needed and was a joy of a host, super thoughtful and clearly takes pride in doing this. We felt very safe and well cared for during our stay. A great place to make memories for sure. Thanks for everything Mike, can’t wait to come back!”

“We had a great quick stay at Cheryl’s. There was tons of stuff for cooking, which is ways so helpful! The record player was an added bonus to the charm of the cottage. Cheryl was great in making sure we had coals necessaries for the grill. There’s a nice outdoor patio where you can watch the hummingbirds and the stars at night. Also heard some coyote chatter! Overall really nice stay, would stay again, or recommend it as an artist retreat space. (Make sure you fill up your gas tank before you get into town!)”
Personally fenced wood cabin, all walks of life are welcome, available for short and medium term stay and sanctuary.
“This was a fantastic spot! We loved the cozy cabin feel and appreciated the fact that we could bring our dogs. The floors creaked a bit (part of the charm for sure), but was only an issue since our dogs moved around quite a bit at night; so the creaking kept us awake. But seriously, this is a great spot! I highly recommend if you’re in the Silver City area! Thanks Jan!”
