Unique landscape, caves, waterfall, glacier, forrest, hiking, swimmingpool, golfcourse, restaurant. Nice charming cottage in peaceful environmet, hot tub, big terrace. Húsafell is on of the most popular places for holydays.
“We stayed here for a few nights and loved it! The cabin is tucked away amongst the trees with amazing views all around (and an epic hot tub outside). The cabin itself was good and had everything you need and was nice and comfortable. The bedrooms are rather small but really in this area you don't want to be spending too much time in there as there is so much to do and explore in this area! Absolutely beautiful area with amazing hiking and scenery! The hosts as well were extremely responsive and helpful. The washing machines weren't open for us during winter so they went above and beyond to help us find somewhere to do our washing. Also the pool near the hotel is definitely worth a swim in!”
This lovely and roomy vacation house is located in a birch forest in Húsafell, which is in the beautiful Borgarbyggð region, western part of Iceland. (About 120 km from Reykjavík) There are many things to explore in and around Húsafell, such as Glaciers, Rivers, Caves and some beautiful Waterfalls, hot Springs and of course the Icelandic Horse. Golf course is close by. Tour buses to the Glacier Langjökull as well as two restaurants and a swimming pool are within 300 meters.
“Carolina's cabin is a cosy and welcoming place that provides all comfort to make a stay as pleasurable as coming home. We stayed there as a family and greatly enjoyed staying in the perfectly clean place that looks like it has seen a lot of loving care by the owners. Thanks heaps to Caro and Kris! Communication was easy and very relaxed and we hope we can return at some point in the future.”
Spectacular place´ Wake up to the ocean dancing, birds singing and seals right outside your window. Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. On the ground floor is a joint kitchen/living room includes a microwave and a dishwasher. The kitchen view is the sea itself. Toilet with a shower On the second floor has a bedroom loft with 2 queen size beds and one single person’s bed.
“The house by the sea is AMAZING! My family and I enjoyed staying here very much! The location is very private and we were able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation in without anyone around us. I really liked the fact that you had to drive far into the property to get to the house - we were isolated but in a good way!!! Exactly what we were looking for. The scenery is amazing and we were able to see seals right in the backyard all 3 mornings that we were there. My 8-year-old daughter truly enjoyed this, as well as walking along the beach areas looking for shells. I enjoyed having my morning coffee and looking out at the stunning scenery of the fjord and mountains. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The house itself has been restored in such a beautiful way; the updates were great! It was immaculately clean and we had everything we needed there. Sigrun and her husband made us feel totally welcome and answered any questions we had very quickly which was very helpful. We also got to meet and interact with the horses on the farm. We will definitely return to this house by the sea!!!”
