Casa de aspecto rústico localizada entre zonas de cultivo del plátano en plena naturaleza y de fácil acceso. Vistas espectaculares donde reina la tranquilidad y el canto de los pájaros
“Good morning all, If you are looking for a great host, Jorge is your man. He took care to translate all the indications into French and to send the precise photos of the road which leads to his accommodation (knowing that we arrived at night). The apartment is very comfortable, clean and very well equipped with a parking space. A special note for the very neat and arty decoration. There is a banana plantation right outside the front door ... The different terraces allow you to enjoy the spectacular view on different levels and a beautiful sea view from the upper terrace! There are shops nearby as well as good restaurant addresses. To be preferred if you like hiking because the different departures are concentrated in the north and east center of the island. The morning and end of the day mist offers a unique and very mystical experience. On the other hand, favor the South if you prefer lazing around in the sun. I will come back to Jorge's for sure Marine”
We live, live and work with our two children on a former potato finca in the green north of the island above the village of Tamargada in a high valley at 600m altitude in a dreamlike, partly terraced location overlooking the hill chain and the sea. The house is surrounded by year-round green vegetation and surrounded by trees, plants, shrubs and animals.
“What a fantastic place! The atmospheric pictures give a good impression of the natural paradise that awaits you in the lonely gorge of Los Zarzales. The cabana is embedded harmoniously and had everything we needed. We spent ten days here with our seven-month-old daughter at the beginning of February and enjoyed this time immensely. If you have the time, you should spend there more than two night. (The extremely good bookshelf will surely last for half a year.) Christina and Dirk are very open-minded and respectful hosts. We are very grateful that they make this place accessible to guests. After these days we went to Valle Gran Rey which was kind of a culture shock or at least the absolute contrast program. The cabana in northern Gomera is certainly not for everyone. It is noticeably cooler, wetter and more cloudy. You should plan around 20 minutes for the steep kilometer from the parking lot. (Dirk drives the luggage with the 4WD for arrival and departure). You have to earn your little adventure, but for us it was definitely worth it.”

“We very, very much enjoyed our stay at Los Chicos. It’s really well situated with, pretty much, everything one could need. It’s quiet, clean, chilled and the bed was a real delight. Comfy and good quality – all too often places can get the basics so badly wrong and Los Chicos got an easy 5* for this area. The shower is also really fab. Simple and no frills but fab. 5*. Lots of hot water, plenty of shower room to move about in and nice easy controls and good shower head. A joy. Views from the property towards Teide and into the Hermigua Valley are just lovely. Nice resident wildlife in the garden etc and very, very, cute gecko. Andrea was an extremely helpful and organised manager of the property and on hand if needed – always a comfort. She was super at anticipating folks’ needs! Eg. We went out the day after the recent sandstorm (Calima Wind) leaving a rather sandy Los Chicos and arrived back to a sparkling place as Andrea had sent someone in. We were not expecting this and it was wonderful to come “home” to a newly cleaned place. 5*s. We would highly recommend Los Chicos and there are only two tiny areas we’d mention from our perspective/s. If you’re a (proper) cook and doing hard core self-catering then the kitchen could be slightly better equipped in terms of ‘serious’ cooking implements. Having said that – we manged fine and if you’re planning on eating out alongside self-catering then this won’t matter a jot. 4*s. The other thing is Los Chicos seems to be priced towards the top end of its bracket so could be a little more competitive in this area. 4*s. Would we return? YES!”
