The Shearer's Quarters is camping meets homestay - an authentic farm experience in the heart of the Cudgegong Valley. Once a home for the shearers who visited the farm for more than 50 years, The Shearer's Quarters is now a cosy cabin with views of the property. It's a unique experience for those looking for a different kind of country getaway.
“Great location and property for our group of 9 family and friends for the Rylstone StreetFeast weekend. The property is very peaceful with great views across the farm and the sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The accommodation was full of country charm, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we especially enjoyed the outdoor sitting area. Tracey has put a lot of thought into making the Shearers Quarters very comfortable and the breakfast supplies provided were greatly appreciated. Everyone left very happy and relaxed. We will definitely be back.”
Located approximately 57kms from the beautiful Mudgee and 74kms from Bathurst, our home ‘Bella Stay’ sits on 140 acres of natural bushland that allows for an authentic farm experience for the whole family. The barn-styled home has a timber interior which allows for a cosy stay whilst also incorporating a modern twist. The farm house is well equipped and comfortably sleeps up to eight guests. In addition, a granny flat located meters away from the house sleeps an extra four guests.
“A wonderful and amazingly appointed hideaway perfect for families or anyone who wants to escape the city grind. Within a short driving distance to the Mudgee wine region and to other historical areas such as Hill End, it is a perfect location. The home itself has comfortable beds and great amenities for large groups, and for the kids there are some very friendly cows and ponies to keep them occupied. Also a great outdoor area including fire pit to watch the stars in the evening. Not a lot of internet/phone signal out there but frankly that’s part of the charm. Switch off and enjoy the fresh air!”
In the Capertee Valley NSW, in the Greater Blue Mountains. The property borders the Gardens of Stone National Park, and the views are spectacular. A drive through the valley is well worthwhile as the landscapes are beautiful and absolutely unique. The Cabin is situated in a serene, peaceful, healing and tranquil setting, ensuring a real break from everyday life.
“What to say? We had the most fabulous time. If you are looking for an escape, a unique Aussie experience, to relax, a romantic weekend, a chance to just be ‘you’ then this is the place. It’s a rare find no reception where you can play board games, walk, explore, interact with nature, experience stunning views ... and chill in hammocks looking looking up at a spectacle of stars 🌟 Fantastic hosts and a big thanks and much gratitude to Nick. Bubbly, choccie, coffee machine, fresh eggs, books, games, music and tips on local bush walks. All was fab! Thank you again and we will definitely see you soon.”
