When in Oatlands stay in an authentic Georgian sandstone cottage to really feel the part. Just minutes walk from Callington Mill, and Lake Dulverton, this heritage listed 1830's home offers an opportunity to imagine early Tasmanian life without sacrificing contemporary comforts. It is the perfect location from which to experience the rural town of Oatlands, explore the restored buildings of the former military precinct; and venture further afield to the heritage highlights of the Midlands.
“Historic, cosy and comfortable stay with all of the mod cons (kitchen and bathroom). We enjoyed lighting a fire in the loungeroom with a plentiful supply of kindling, paper and timber. Aviemore was a wonderful introduction to Tasmania for one of our party's first visit to Tassie and proved a highlight during our roadtrip. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here .... a very authentic historic experience, in a lovely historic town. Come prepared for not many options eating-wise mid week. We were able to enjoy an early pub meal in Richmond before arriving in Oatlands.”

“Absolutely stunning property housing the most magnificent heritage cottages I've ever seen. All the love and hard work poured into these beautiful homes is really evident. I spent hours admiring all the features and decor, it's like being transported back to 1856. Truly amazing and a credit to the hosts who have just excelled at what they have created. All the comforts are top notch with the snuggliest fireplace, couch, bath & bed. So many extras too! An array of wonderful snacks & beverages, breakfast is even provided! Views of the perfectly manicured gardens make for the most relaxing afternoon & evening watching the sunset. I honestly cannot rave about this property any more. It deserves a magazine feature! Simply incredible.”
The decor is neutral with a country modern feel. The house is only recently built and has a beautiful log fire for setting a cosy ambience. There is everything you will need for an enjoyable stay in this stunning part of Tasmania.
“The perfect holiday house with lake fishing at hand. This house has so many good qualities that they are hard to list. The abundance of reading material and the little extras for the kids make this property stand out. Allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy Arthurs Lake.”
