Naval officers abode in the Himalayas aptly named . After spending years in the beauty of coastal land and lapping in the sea and with it its infinite beauty ,a naval couple decided to build something in the Himalayas - their first love. It had to be serene, peaceful , with a garden, high but not too much, cool but not cold, homely and warm, in wilderness but connected, green but not a jungle. They searched and searched & finally found a place and built their dream cottage.
“Raghvendra's house is at a great location if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The view from the balcony is outstanding. The check in process and all communication was very smooth. Being from Bombay and owning to the heavy rain during our stay, we found the cold very daunting. But after a quick conversation with Raghvendra, he helped arrange additional heaters for us. The caretaker on the property, Ganesh, is extremely sweet, helpful and an amazing cook. We asked him lots of questions about the local cuisine and he also cooked some of those things for us. Would definitely like to go back to this property in the Summer.”
Vidyun's hill home in Dhamas, overlooks the snow clad Himalayan peaks of Trishul and Nanda Devi, with pine forest walks, bird watching and occasional sightings of leopard, pine martins, jackals in the forest behind the house. The house has 2 (two) "ensuite" bedrooms with private bathrooms. We do not give out the two bedrooms separately. Each bedroom is equipped to accommodate up to 3 guests. Even if a single guest books the entire cottage is kept free so u have EXCLUSIVE use.
“The cottage is even lovelier in life than in the photos here on Airbnb. We took the kachcha raasta by mistake and it was a great drive (and also shaved off some time). The cottage has lots of linen and since we were travelling ahead after Dhamas, the washing machine was a blessing. We spent most of our time on the lookout style balcony - the view is incredible! The caretaker, Anandji was very helpful and his food was simple but delish. We'd suggest you stock up on your way in though and ask for him to shop in advance. We carried milk, Dahi and chocolates from Delhi and we're glad we did that. 4G works perfectly so you don't really need WiFi. There's a lovely hike from behind the property that's a definite must do. Sanjeev, the host, was constantly in touch via mobile and was very helpful with things to do locally as well as directions on the way up. We'll be going back again for sure and would definitely recommend Vidyuns.”

Nested in the pine woods of the Almora-Ranikhet stretch, our home offers a comforting experience for those looking to have a date with nature. The panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks from the comforts of our home adds grandeur to the space.
