This Airbnb is housed in one of Joplin's Historic Landmarks, the Frederick H. Rogers House, completed in 1905. Frederick H. Rogers was a mining entrepreneur during the peak of the lead and zinc mining era. He engaged Austin Allen, the most prominent architect of the era, to design the house to his specifications. The house features domed ceilings, hardwood floors laid in the log cabin design and imported wood trim. The Rogers family called the house home until 1917.
“Kenneth's home is beautiful and was perfect for our stay in Joplin! Our room was spotless and he provided us with water bottles and granola bars. Coffee was extremely convenient to make as he has a Keurig available right outside the room. Overall a great place to stay, thank you for having us!”
Newly remodeled, 110 yr old farm house and cattle ranch on 125 acres of Ozark fields and forest off historic Route 66 Highway. We welcome those who can stay just one night or those who want to stay longer. Hike in our woods, view wildlife, enjoy a bonfire, or just sit on the porch and relax! We have an Activity Barn with all sorts of outdoor gear/toys. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and we are close to the historic town of Carthage where there are several great restaurants.
“My son and I came to stay at the farm for five days to visit my parents in Southwest Missouri. I am from the area and I absolutely loved staying here and plan to return. The restored farmhouse is lovely. The property is remote and peaceful. Our favorite part of the stay was meeting Harlan and Theresa, and all of their well loved and cared for farm animals! The one thing I would mention to other travelers (because I don’t want it to be booked 365 days a year since then I can’t use it) is that the one bathroom is downstairs from 3 of the 4 bedrooms and the staircase may not be suitable for some mobility restricted people. We loved everything about our stay. 5 star plus!”
